Feb. 9, 2021, In Tarrant County, police are searching for a serial robber who is suspected of committing over a dozen armed robberies throughout the county. Arlington police state that in the cities of Arlington, Mansfield, and Fort Worth, there has been a man seen robbing restaurants, retail stores, and individuals at gunpoint. Arlington Police is continuing to collect images of the suspect in hopes of sharing them on social media and giving the public more information in regards to who the perpetrator is, and where he might be located.

Robbery Penalties in Texas
In the state of Texas, robbery is a property crime that is classified as a second-degree felony. A person commits this offense if, in the course of committing theft and with intent to obtain or maintain control of the property, they:
(1) intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly cause bodily injury to another; or
(2) intentionally or knowingly threaten or place another in fear of imminent bodily injury or death.
Aggravated robbery is a first-degree felony, and this crime takes place when an individual commits robbery while causing serious bodily injury to another, using or exhibiting a deadly, or causing another person to be in fear of imminent bodily injury or death as a result of threats or actions.

If convicted of robbery, an individual can face two to twenty behind bars alongside a fine that is not to exceed $10,000.
